Our Mission

In 1986 New England School of Dance opened its doors in Goffstown, NH with a goal of bringing quality dance education & the joy of movement to local children. For 30 years, Founder, Susan Case shared her passion for teaching, creativity & knowledge with hundreds of students, providing them with the tools & encouragement to be their best as young, blossoming humans & artists. In 2018 her daughter Alison Smith took over as Artistic Director. Alison strived to maintain the quality & values that NESD was founded on while evolving & creating new & exciting opportunities for NESD Students. In 2023 NESD expanded in order to provide excellence in the performing arts with a new Theater Division & Wellness Wing becoming New England School of Dance & Theater. NESD&T combines the worlds of dance education & theater providing the chance for young artists to broaden their horizons with an expanded curriculum and increase versatility, confidence & storytelling skills. With a rich history of passionate, college educated teachers, professional dancers, choreographers & wonderful families, NESD&T looks forward to a bright future!
